A synthetic compound in medical use since the late nineteenth century. The low-dose compounded preparation listed here is prepared by an independent pharmacy after a prescription and is not an FDA-approved finished drug product.

What your provider will discuss
- Do not combine with SSRIs, SNRIs, MAOIs, or other serotonergic medicines because of the risk of serotonin syndrome. Your provider will review every medication you take.
- Not appropriate for anyone with G6PD deficiency.
- Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Urine turns blue or green while taking it; this is expected.
- Dose is set by the provider and must not be changed on your own. Report anything unusual promptly.

A short online questionnaire about your health history, medications, and goals. It takes a few minutes and no credit card is required to complete it.
Where is it prepared?
If a prescription is issued, the preparation is made by an independent, licensed compounding pharmacy. Compounded medications are prepared for an individual patient and are not FDA-approved finished drug products. Fifty 410 does not compound, manufacture, or distribute medications.
Which medications are a concern?
Methylene blue can interact with antidepressants and other serotonergic medicines, including SSRIs, SNRIs, and MAOIs. It is also not appropriate for people with G6PD deficiency. A full medication review is part of the provider assessment, and you should never start it without that review.
What does it cost?
