What your provider will discuss
- For men only. Finasteride should not be handled by women who are or may become pregnant.
- Tell your provider about any prostate condition or PSA testing; finasteride can affect PSA results.
- Some men experience sexual side effects or mood changes. Tell your provider if you have concerns.
- Oral minoxidil can cause hair growth in areas other than the scalp, dizziness, or a rapid heartbeat. Tell your provider about any heart condition or blood pressure medication.
